Title: Phil Coulson, Office Hearthrob
Fandom: The Avengers
Characters/Pairings: Clint/Phil
Wordcount: 6156
Rating: PG-13, for language
A/N: I've been working on my thesis and using this as a way to destress. Or: I tried lurking, but there was the feelsmeme. No spoilers for the movie, and please keep it that way, it doesn't come out in Poland until NEXT WEEK and I'm GOING INSANE. So.
Written for this prompt at the feelsmeme: Every office has a 'cute guy from Marketing with a great ass' that everyone wants to sleep with. Among the junior agents at SHIELD, that person is Phil Coulson. Clint would find it hilarious, but he just wants people to stop throwing themselves at his boyfriend. Hilarity ensues as Clint tries to fend off the baby agents and Coulson is oblivious.

Saw Hunger Games today on a special showing and omg, the movie does deliver. (More later, or not, because I forget and then become busy and then forget and then sleep. Or caffeinate and not sleep.)

In other news, I have been quiet lately, because of reasons.

Reasons: MA thesis (argh why, except I love my topic, but argh why), lectures, work, translations, conference papers (next week I'm going to Germany to deliver a presentation on cheerleaders. It required, absolutely required, watching Bring it On series FOR SCIENCE.), more conference papers proposals, maybe establishing my own business, building my mother's company website and e-shop, maintaining business correspondence with France and China for mom's company, taking up extra teaching hours for my university and teaching students English on a volunteer basis, organising a conference in my own institute, maintaining TAS program facebook, organising integration events between our students and foreign students, preparing for volunteering gig at a film festival next month, going back to learning French, and job search which includes weird 40-minutes phone conversations with recruitment officers carried out in Polish and English on weird subjects.

All in all, life is fun.

I also got addicted to X-box Kinect Dance Central, because whoever came up with the idea of turning exercise into a game where you get points and stars and levels was EVIL and a genius. Taking up running again too, after the winter break. Started with the treadmill and moving outside once it gets warmer.

I would get a life, but I have no time for it.

for Generation Kill people: a fic snippet, because I need to post something to motivate myself to write more. romcom going on college au going on I need help. Brad/Nate, obvsly )

my great-grandmother died today.

She was 98. Had two daughters, outlived one of them. Was married for 72 years, until her husband died, 8 years ago. Had two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren (one of them, my cousin, is sixteen now). Got hit with a shrapnel to her leg during the first world war. Had three different names and three different dates of birth, so the family kind of suspects she might have been a spy.

She's been hospitalised three times during the last two months, and we've been waiting for this. Yesterday the doctors told us we could just sit in the hospital for as long as necessary, that all we could do was wait. It is sort of a relief except when it's really not.

First, thank you so much for writing things for me. I love you already,

Second, I shouldn't be very difficult to write for. In fact, I am regrettably and awesomely cheap and easy. If it's Generation Kill, I'm sold. If it's Brad/Nate, I'm thrilled and dancing around the room with joy.

Now, if you need some inspiration, ideas, etc: I love Nate. And Brad. And every other character. I'm fine with a gen ensemble and I'm fine with intimate pairing piece. I love dialogue, I mean, Generation Kill IS dialogue, and it's awesome. I love AUs (if you have ever read any of my fics, you could probably tell...), any AUs, be it slight canon derailment or big AUs-where-they're-all-penguins. Or ice-skaters. No, really. Or a Regency AU that doesn't end in heartbreak (not that I don't love some heartbreak in the middle of the story). Really, I'm the AUs gal.

I like strong female characters, in the form of sisters, roomates, friends, nieces, wives (especially Mike's and Poke's), etc. I like kidfics and fluff and kittens and puppies and Walt and sunshine. I don't mind angst, but I kind of want a happy ending for everyone.

I put X-Men: First Class as my crossover fandom, because I'm on an X-Men kick (in the NEED FIX-IT FIC after the beach divorce kinda way), but really, feel free to take it any direction you want, superheroes or not, Marvel or DC, superpowers or Batman-like wealth. Or just write a strictly canon fic happening in Iraq. I'll love it.

Feel free to ignore everything written here and follow your inspiration. Just have fun. And maybe give me a happy ending?

Figured I might owe everyone an update...

1. Terrible writer's block. I have a dozen or more fics started and can't bring myself to actually *write*.

2. Writer's block doesn't extend to academia. 13 pages into my thesis. Yes, I do know the academic year hasn't started yet, shush.

3. Last year of American Studies. Don't ask how many electives I'm taking, I'm scaring myself. Considering I am supposed to do 8 electives in two years and last year alone I've done 11... well, yeah.

4. Doing post-grad in Language, Media & Culture. Because I'm pretty sure they've opened that degree specifically for me and it would be rude not to do that, right?

5. Work starting next week. I've actually missed the kids.

6. Also next week, Summit on Innovation and Research that I'm volunteering at. I don't know, kinda excited.

7. Also helping with an art show (in two weeks time). Learned the most important lesson about organising art shows already: Wine Glasses Are IMPORTANT.

8. Just realised I didn't put sugar in my tea, but I'm too tired to make it downstairs and get sugar. Oh, well.

9. I know everyone is complaining about the changes on Star Wars Blu Ray, but omg, so pretty anyway.

10. Speaking of Star Wars, am half tempted to try a Rogue Squadron GK AU for this year's NaNo. What are your thoughts on that?

11. Anyone backing up my motion to expand a day by, I don't know, seventeen hours or so?

So, after meeting Alexander Skarsgard and not making a COMPLETE idiot of myself (some parts are missing), I am working on my plan to take over hbo have my way with meet every True Blood cast member. Or at least those who happen to visit Poland for the TB HBO Poland promotion.

I LOVE HBO, did I mention that?

Meeting Joe Manganiello tomorrow. Hee.

Expect a recount later. Taking [info]cala_jane with me, because HBO is so awesome they gave me two invites (or after the last time they've decided I need a babysitter. I HAVEN'T EVEN TRIED TO LICK ALEX, I RESENT THE IDEA OF NEEDING SUPERVISION. still, the joke is on them, because Cala as a chaperone idea is so bad it's awesome.)

STARK SANDS, GO PLAY IN AN HBO SHOW AND COME TO POLAND, OKAY?

(if someone from Warsaw wants to meet/is at the meeting, hit me up, I can make time for a quick coffee and caffeinated hugs and glomping)

John's a beloved BNF fanfiction author. They meet at a convention; geeky love ensues." and it might seem inconspicous to you but it spirals out into one of the most AMAZING meta fics ever. 1. Exams session. I am done with my final essays (all 11 of them), almost done with presentations (two left, for next week, for anthropology and transatlantic security) and am starting my finals (all 11 of them) tomorrow. In between considering shooting myself I'm kind of having fun. I KNOW.

2. Work. I'm going to be taking a break next year, for a year. I need it, I think, to have the last year of actual studying be, well, all about studying. And maybe preparing for PhD, which means getting published etc.

3. Fandom. Working on too many fics to count, slowly edging towards finishing some. War Big Bang coming up soon, so this is fun.

4. Social life. IDEK. Still emotionally retarded when it comes to relationships (or, ya know, inviting someone for coffee. HOW DO YOU EVEN DO THAT?). Friends are the coolest, though, and I've greatly enjoyed my birthday party. ♥

5. Speaking of, birthdays. Thanks everyone for all the wishes (and some virtual gifts and cards, I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH). So, 26, eh? Closer to thirty than twenty, idek.

6. I've taken up jogging. I'm undecided what I think of it, on one hand, kinda feels good, on the other, gosh, physical exercise. I'm a devout couch potato, what is this shit. (Also, if anyone has good work-out/running music? My playlists are full of showtunes and stuff like Sarah McLachlan or Tori Amos, who are wonderful but not exactly helpful for the running times.)

7. In conclusion. I aten't dead yet. Though it's a close thing.

1. Uni is kicking my ass. Well, not really, because I'm doing FINE, but time-wise I'm swamped, with three essays due very soon and presentations and stuff. At least I'm enjoying every single class, it's been a while since I was THAT excited about what I'm doing.

2. I'm writing a term paper on Stephen Colbert. That fills me with glee.

3. I'm writing my MA thesis on fanvidding. My thesis advisor agreed and concluded that I apparently know what I'm doing so godspeed. That fills me with TOO MUCH GLEE OMG.

4. A little swamped with work, because the exams for the junior high students are next week, and so everyone remembered that maybe OH MY GOD they need to PREPARE and such. Leads to panicked parents calling me and asking if I could have additional classes with the kids. As long as they're paying, well, I could.

5. I'm going to a Q&A with Tim Roth on Wednesday. That's kind of really, really cool.

6. I am applying for a study tour to the US. Keep your fingers crossed for me? That would be so fantastically awesome I can't even.
