When I was your age, Pluto was a planet!

Scene: FCE prep English class.

Class: is watching How I Met Your Mother (first two eps, for the purposes of writing a review. Mostly, because it's the Long Weekend Week, and the teacher (me) is L-A-Z-Y)

Girl: "OH MY GOD DOOGIE HOWSER!"

Me: "I know, right?"

Class: ...

Girl: "I had such a crush on Doogie!"

Me: "I know!"

Class: was born in the nineties.

Me and the Girl: feel old.

Girl: "I know it was even before Beverly Hills 90210, but seriously, you don't know Doogie Howser?"

Boy: "What's a Beverly Hills 90210?"

The boy who asked is fifteen, and very much a jock... I'm pretty sure the rest at least heard of it (especially as Polsat is running re-runs at the moment :D)

Me too! I adored Doogie. I even started writing my own diary on the ancient computer we had then, with black and white screen and all... (it run DOS. And had hangman and Prince of Persia. It was LOVELY).

VERY, VERY old.
I didn't have a crush on Doogie (I had one on Dylan McKay, though), but I remember watching it every week.

I had a crush on Doogie Houser too! :D I don't even know how old I was when the show run in our TV, but it was probably the beginning of elementary school :)

Doogie was in one of the episodes of "numb3rs" about a kidnapped kid & I was all squeee about it :D

I was never much into Beverly Hills, though. I guess I was a little bit too young when it was on TV o.O
