I got into the postgrad programme I wanted. Now I will not have a single free day till August. I'm surprisingly happy about this, but it may be that I'm high on chocolate I just had.

The classes start next week, but the classes for the MA English Lit (my last year, I'm both excited and sad) start this week. My class schedule sucks and blows but that will not stop me from being excited.

Work is hectic, like every time the new school year starts, but I love the kids I have this year, they're an entertaining bunch.

I'm behind on a lot, especially flist and fics and tv, but I'll make up for it as things begin to slow down. Which may be next year.

So, I was just reading up on that possible Star Wars life-action series that slypiotrek referenced, and I kinda sorta clicked links and I kinda sorta read up on the entirety of the Second Galactic Civil War, and now I need to read the books, because Wedge <3

(And one quote broke me, just one quote, about Tycho and Wedge wearing different uniforms and OMG NO, don't do this to me!)

And then I kinda, sorta, realised that I already have two of the Legacy of the Force novels on my shelf, as I bought them a while ago and promptly forgot.

DAMNIT, and I thought I gave up EU. And I need a new Star Wars obsession like I need a hole in my head; it will go very nicely with my current Star Trek and still existing Batman obsessions. Shoot me, don't set on stun.

I'm slightly out of whack today, because my new cold meds interfer funnily with my other new meds, and my head is fuzzy and everything is a bit wooly. It's a wonder I can write in English (well, actually, it isn't, I tried writing in Polish today and didn't remember the spelling of half of the words, but I'm completely fine in English. Because my head is weird that way.)

It's this time of the year, boys and girls, when the insanity fairy comes to visit, and I sit down and look at all the pretty shiny crazy stuff I'll be watching this year.

I bought this skirt and these boots today. (Skirt is much shorter on me than it looks like in the picture; being 6' tall has its consequences).

I feel very good about that but I probably won't when I see my credit card statement. Oh, well.

In other news, I'm back to work sometime next week (probably around Wednesday/Thursday). Gods, finally, I need money.

I'm taking graphics requests. Priority to requests involving Star Trek in any way (especially original characters recasted for Reboot, I'm having fun with those). Other requests will be considered, but I don't promise my muse's cooperation, she's kind of on a bigger Trek kick than I am.

In related news: working my way through the McCoy/Chapel Regency romance. Kirk attempts to hijack the story with his ideas for plot. Am fighting him valiantly, but it's James T. Kirk, what can you do?

Also: GIP, because Karl Urban needs to be in something historical sometime soon.
